Story[]
Note: The following story is taken from the Gamebanana page, and has a headcanon.
As Link was travelling in the woods, he suddenly unlocks another memory. The latter is set immediately after the ninth unlocked Memory. Distressed, Princess Zelda, accompanied by Link, asks him to sing a song. This song being the same song Link sang to the princess for years.

Link[]
“When I finally got around to asking why he's so quiet all the time, I could tell it was difficult for him to say. But he did. With so much at stake, and so many eyes upon him, he feels it necessary to stay strong and to silently bear any burden. A feeling I know all too well... For him, it has caused him to stop outwardly expressing his thoughts and feelings.”
― Zelda's Diary, about Link, Breath of the Wild
Link is the protagonist of the series: The Legend of Zelda. In Breath of the Wild, he's the Hylian Champion and Princess Zelda's bodyguard, before succumbing and being put for a century to the Shrine of the Resurrection. He's also the player's character in this mod, having the task to comfort the distressed princess.
Appearance[]
Link is a blond humanoid with light skin and blue eyes. He wears the Champion's Tunic, a light blue shirt with straps and belts over it and a stylized depiction of the Master Sword stitched into its design. Additionally, he wears brown fingerless gloves, the beige Hylian Trousers, and brown boots.
Personality[]
Link's personality in Breath of the Wild starts off as mysterious and unknown, but slowly gets revealed over the course of the game. Initially a reckless and energetic kid with a big heart, a big stomach, and an advanced proficiency in the art of combat, Link's personality shifted to become more outwardly cold after obtaining the Master Sword, explained as due to pressure of being a royal guard in Zelda's Diary. Despite this, Link still retains his sense of compassion, and still regarded as kind.
Relationship with Zelda[]
Being Zelda's personal bodyguard, Link holds the desire to protect her, much to her dismay when they first met. Although first met with animosity, the two eventually start getting along, eventually starting to open up with each other.
Trivia[]
- Link has a voice in the mod, despite not talking in the original game.

Princess Zelda[]
“Link... You may not be at a point where you have fully recovered your power or all of your memories, but courage need not be remembered, for it is never forgotten.”
― Zelda, Breath of the Wild
Princess Zelda, also known as Zelda, is the eponymous major character of the series: the Legend of Zelda. She's Hyrule's Princess, the King and Queen's daughter in the the Legend of Zelda series, as well as the "opponent" in this mod.
Appearance[]
Zelda is a blond humanoid with light skin, wearing a pure white dress, white sandals, and a necklace containing the Hylian Crest. Her eyes are almost always closed in this mod, and are revealed to be blue in one of her dialogue portraits, despite them being along the lines of turquoise in canon.
Personality[]
Zelda, as the princess chosen to wield the Triforce to seal away Calamity Ganon, carries a lot of responsibility on her hands, and as such, starting to use her natural interest in science in order to figure out a way to seal off Calamity Ganon, in case her sealing powers don't work. It's heavily implied that she took this to an unhealthy degree, nearly passing out in once incident before lashing out at her ancestors. Her inability to awaken her powers seems to have caused issues with her self-esteem.
Zelda is naturally a curious and intelligent girl, and while she mainly takes interest in archeology, she also seems to have taken interest in other fields, such as: botany, biology, alchemy, and technology. This has strained her relationship with her father, who viewed her desires as a waste of time. This further tanked her self-esteem
Relationship with Link[]
Zelda's relationship with Link starts off cold, due to her father appointing Link as her guard without her permission, as well as envy towards his quickness to realize his destiny with the Master Sword, but slowly starts caring for him after he saves her from a Yiga Clan attack. Her relationship grew even brighter after realizing that the two of them struggle from the weight of expectations. This all comes to a head by the final few memories before Link was brought to the Shrine of Resurrection, where her affection towards Link is what ultimately allows her to utilize the Triforce to its fullest potential. There's also implications that Zelda is romantically attracted to Link, made especially clear after completing all of Kass' quests in Breath of the Wild.
Trivia[]
- Zelda is one of the few cases in which losing doesn't make her feel in danger.
- This is seen by her "danger" icon, in which it is seen that she's blushing.
- The explanation for this is Link singing her the song she wanted to comfort her.
- Other examples are Girlfriend from the original Friday Night Funkin', or even Nikusa from the Friday Night Funkin': Entity mod.
- Zelda disappears near the end of the song, leaving Link alone to sing for himself. This makes sense, as the one we fight is just Link's memory of her. The real Zelda is currently keeping Calamity Ganon at bay.

Cutscene
Pre-Comforting Whispers
Link is shown wandering through the Lost Woods, when suddenly something catches his attention. A log is then shown, with a glowing white star resting atop it. Link, confused by this, reaches out to it before the screen cuts to a sepia camera roll.
Zelda: Link...
Zelda: Come sit with me.
The camera roll turns white before fading into the mod's dialogue.
Zelda: I’m sorry you had to see me get emotional like that.
Zelda: I just wish my father could see how hard I’m trying to awaken this cursed power…
Zelda: *sigh* I need to take a break. pouting about will get me nowhere.
Link: ...
Zelda: …Link, I don’t mean to be a bother but.
Zelda: Do you think you could..
Zelda: ..Sing me that song you always used to sing for me?
Link: ?
Zelda: Sorry I know it’s a bit of an odd request but..
