Earlier, it was stated that the game’s lore and the story aren’t technically straightforward. The same goes for this quest. Anything else would be spoiler territory.
The War Within story focuses on the Grineer Queens, also known as, the Twin Queens. The story is mainly about these two, but there is also lore about Teshin. Most players will know him as the Conclave (PvP) Master. However, without trying to spoil anything, one of the queens is looking for another host or body. This is known as Transference in Warframe.
Transference is transferring one’s consciousness and powers into another that they control as a surrogate body. This is how the player uses a Warframe. Anyway, The War Within is also the second part of The Second Dream. So, playing that first is required. Players will also learn more about the Zariman Ten Zero incident. The Zariman Ten Zero event is how the Tenno (the player) received powers from an unknown anomaly.

Before undertaking this quest, some requirements have to be met first. Luckily the requirements are simple, however, if you are just beginning, you might not be able to do this for a while. This is because of the Mastery Rank requirement. Which requires crafting and leveling weapons and Warframes.

If you are new, then you won’t be able to do the War Within quest within Warframe just yet. You will also have to reach Mastery Rank 3 first to unlock and complete The Second Dream quest (one of the requirements to begin this quest).
If you do complete this quest you will earn a good amount of rewards as well. This quest also has a decision and moral system, but only plays a very small part.
