"This recipe for an oh-so-decadently-delicious Irish-Greek-chocolate-and-cream drink was part of an article on ouzo in the October 2005 issue of cooking magazine 'Australian Good Taste'. The article was called 'Greece Lightning' and begins: "A potent Greek spirit that has the ability to turn cloudy, ouzo can have the same effect on you - so take care not to overindulge in our delicious drinks, dessert or dressing." A co*cktail? Well the ingredients suggest that but the photograph showed Chocolate Bullets served in two tall smoothie-style glasses. This is clearly not a drink for the faint-hearted! I've listed this as serving 2, but I think it could also be served in 4 co*cktail glasses. The original recipe specified "chocolate topping" as the fourth ingredient; ever with a mind of its own, Zaar converted this to "chocolate fudge topping", which would I imagine be sweeter. BTW, if you're using metric measurements, 1 cup = 250 ml. From the same magazine, I have also posted Recipe #139444 and Recipe #139460."

 1. I didn't have 1/2 cup Ouzo left in the bottle it was only about 1/3 cup, not sure what you meant by "thickened cream" I used unwhipped 35% whipping cream, this is an extremely rich filling drink that is absolutely heavenly and would definately make again for the upcoming holidays, thanks for sharing bluemoon!

 2. I used the Ouzo and would highly recomend it to the others who didn't because it gives a very unusual and interesting dimention to this recipe. I fact I think that you might feel that it would be a totally different recipe without the ouzo.I never in a million years would have thought to put Bailey's and Ouzo together in any combination, but surprisingly, it works amazingly well. I'm not a drinker as such and not a co*cktail fan and only made this for a Zaar World Tour Challenge.. having said that, I might well make this again one day LOL.It was easy to make too :) I took a photograph and my mixture filled 3.5 of the glasses pictured. Please see my rating system, a well deserved 4 stars ! Thanks !UPDATE: I didn't only make it once again, I made it 4 more times LOL AND tried it out on several friends who loved it too.. I've decided that it's truely a keeper and deserves 5 stars ! Thanks:)

 4. Definitely considered an upscale mudslide by us. We made as directed without the whipped cream and shavings on top. I love Ouzo but this was Buddha's first time trying it. He loved it. We will definitely be making this drink again. :)

July 2008 update: VERY happy to be back on Zaar after about a two year absence due to having had no internet connection at home, and having been too unwell for a time so that getting re-connected wasn't even a priority!

And really looking forward to getting back into the Zaar world and connecting again with the many wonderful people I knew before, and new people, of course!
